The Forum

Roman Forum  •
First stop of the all walking tour. It was impressive to see so many ruins. It was the an area in the center of the city where a lot of government buildings were the people would gather. It also was the location of Ceasar’s Palace. To completely walk around the Forum took a lot of stamina! Our first...

Vatican City

Vatican City  •
One of the best visits so far! Inside Vatican City to see so much history. Lots of statues, tapestry, paintings and of course……….the works of Michaelangelo (1512) inside the Sistine Chapel. I was sad that photos were not allowed inside the Chapel, but there’s nothing that can compare to seeing it fo...

City of Assisi

Assisi  •
Way up on the mountainside is the city of Assisi. It is so small and quaint. We saw a few Monks and Nuns walking about. Compact cars zipping through the hill-y cobblestone streets they share with pedestrians. They are not allowed to honk their horns-not even to warn people. We went to the BasĂlica o...

City Center, Florence

Florence  •
There is so much to see! Our tour took us through the heart of Florence. The architecture of the buildings, Palaces and Churches is remarkable. They all have a story to tell. We stopped for an info session on leather. 3 people in our group became models for us. Dinner was in the countryside of Tusca...

The Leaning Tower

Pisa  •
Took a short “choo-choo” ride to the site. Lots on venders along the street and also we were told pickpocketers. We walked to a courtyard where there was only a church, the Leaning Tower and a gift shop and some apartment buildings. Actually not much to see here.

Lunch

Tuscany  •
Got up extra early to be ready by 6:30am. International breakfast and we’re off! Brisk morning walk to the People Mover that took us to were our tour bus was located. This day we were headed to Tuscany for wine tasting and a “light” lunch. We walked up to the vineyard followed by these two big Berne...

Walking tour of Venice

St. Mark's Square  •
Our tour of Venice took us through so many small streets and alleyways. Up and down about 10 bridges as we were also window shopping at the many small stores along the way. Our final stop took us to St Marks Square. A huge church and the Blue Clock Tower was the center of attention in this open air...

First boat ride

Diramazione Aeroporto "Marco Polo"  •
This was our Taxi that took us from the airport to our hotel. A 30 minute boat ride to Venice, the city on water.

Paris

Charles de Gaulle International Airport  •
Not gonna make it to the the Olympics this Summer, but I’m here now. The ceiling caught my eye as well as this little bakery near our gate.

On our way
